Accessibility

In compliance with the U.S. Department of Transportation Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 (49 CFR Parts 27, 37, 38 and 39), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) ensures its services, vehicles, and facilities are accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities.

Access Pass

Free fare program allowing ADA-certified passengers to ride most fixed-route services free of charge.

ADA Paratransit Eligibility

In-person eligibility assessment for services.

Paratransit Service

RTD offers complementary paratransit services to persons who are unable to perform the skills necessary to use RTD‘s fixed-route service due to their disability.

Discount Fare Cards

Discount program offering eligible seniors, persons with disabilities, and Medicare card holders the use of certain services for no more than one-half the regular base fare.

Travel Training

Dedicated professionals teaching seniors and persons with disabilities how to use public transit.

Van Go! (Mobility On Demand)

RTD’s own rideshare service (provided in accessible vehicles) strategically placed around the county and operated by professionally-trained and tested operators.

My Ride (Volunteer Driver Program)

Reimbursement program for ADA-certified passengers to request transportation from friends and family.

Reasonable Modification Statement

RTD is committed to providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for all residents of the region—including those who may need special accommodation or modification.
