Transit Advertising

Research shows that businesses who maintain or increase their advertising during recessions dramatically outperform businesses who cut their advertising. Transit advertising combines the best qualities of other media; it is a highly visible, mobile and affordable way to connect with your market.

Our Region is Your Market

The San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) serves the residents of San Joaquin County and connects County-area commuters with Sacramento and the Bay Area. RTD’s fleet of 70 buses serves an area of 1,426 square miles.

RTD’s Transit Advertising Program (TA), is a great way to reach the nearly 1 million residents of Stockton and San Joaquin County. Besides Stockton, RTD also serves Tracy, Ripon, Manteca, Lathrop, and Lodi. In addition to these 1 million residents, an estimated 4 million annual visitors visit San Joaquin County. This is your audience when you choose to advertise on RTD’s bus fleet.

In addition to these impressive numbers is the wide demographic profile of our County. Your business receives exposure to a diverse and dynamic population group. There are two types of bus services which enable your business to reach those populations. The Stockton Metropolitan Area offers daily fixed route service operating within the city of Stockton including Metro Express (Bus Rapid Transit). The County service offers Intercity fixed route service connecting Stockton and the cities within San Joaquin County (Tracy, Ripon, Manteca, Lathrop, and Lodi). RTD provides limited service within these other cities.

RTD’s annual ridership of more than 3.5 million passengers ensures your in-bus advertisements get high visibility while your on-bus ads move around this market like no other advertising venue.
