Donna DeMartino
General Manager/CEO

Ms. DeMartino was appointed General Manager/CEO for San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) in November 2001. She has over 20 years of experience in the transit industry and holds a Master's Degree in Transportation Management from the Mineta Institute of Transportation Studies at San Jose State University (SJSU). The California Association for Coordinated Transportation (CalACT) recently named Ms. DeMartino the 2009 Transportation Manager of the Year. In 2006, Metro Magazine highlighted her achievements in an article on five "Women in Transportation" who "play a major role in the transportation industry."

Ms. DeMartino is a Fellow of the Eno Transportation Foundation, and a graduate of the Leadership APTA (American Public Transportation Association) program. She serves on the California Transit Association's Executive Committee, and teaches classes for SJSU, University of the Pacific, and other academic institutions.

 

Gloria Salazar
Assistant General Manager/CFO
Administration and Finance

Ms. Salazar joined RTD in 2002 as Assistant General Manager of Administration and Finance/Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining RTD, she served as a Finance Administrator at Sacramento Regional Transit (RT), where she gained over ten years of progressively responsible experience in public transit. Her experience includes auditing, general accounting, grants and project management. Ms. Salazar has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, a Master's Degree in Business Administration, and a Certificate in Transit/Paratransit Management Program with Pepperdine University. She passed the Uniform CPA Board in 1993 and is an active Certified Tax Preparer with the California Tax Education Council. She is a graduate of Leadership APTA, TCRP’s Transit Executive Leadership Program, and was a participant to TCRP’s International Transit Studies Mission. Currently, Ms. Salazar serves on the California Transit Finance Corporation (CTFC) board, actively participates in T-Flex (Transit Finance Learning Exchange), and teaches in a Transit Paratransit Management Certificate Program for the University of the Pacific.


Laurrie Brown
Director of Operations

Ms. Brown joined RTD in January 2005 as Director of Transportation with over twenty years’ experience in transit operations management. Her primary professional objectives include delivery of excellent customer service, ensuring employees feel valued while being held accountable, and fostering a healthy work environment of continual professional and individual growth. Prior to joining RTD, Ms. Brown served as coach operator, transportation supervisor, and lead supervisor at Sacramento Regional Transit (RT), operations manager for Foothill Transit in Pomona, general manager for Kern Regional Transit in Bakersfield, and vice president of operations for MV Transit in Vacaville. Ms. Brown holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration, and certificates in Labor Relations (UC-Davis), Transit Operations Management (Toronto Transit Commission), Management (CSU-Sacramento), Transit/Paratransit Management (University of the Pacific), Project Management (University of the Pacific), and Transit Leadership (Eno Transportation Foundation). Ms. Brown has served on a synthesis panel for the Transit Research Board, and is an active member of the Women’s Transportation Seminar.
