ATTENTION
On January 25, 2009, RTD will discontinue Interregional Commuter Service Routes 157 and 162.
RTD is facing a serious reduction in available revenues due to the State transit funding cuts. As a result, RTD staff reviewed ridership and service effectiveness on all routes and services to identify cost saving opportunities. RTD identified these two routes for cancellation based on ridership, available parallel capacity, and funding resources. RTD is providing service alternatives for each of these routes to minimize the affect on our passengers. RTD provides the following alternatives for the existing passengers of each route:
For Route 157 passengers:
Option 1. RTD will add service on Route 160 (BART 1) to Dublin and Pleasanton beyond the BART station. The new route schedule will be effective on January 25, 2009. The route times are as follows:
Option 2. RTD currently stages the buses on Routes 151 and 167 at the Wal-Mart shopping center in Pleasanton. Passengers can ride these routes through Livermore to the bus stop at the entrance to the shopping center in Pleasanton. The arrival/departure time for each of these buses are as follows:
