Complimentary Rides to Cooling Centers

San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) will provide free connections to any of the twelve San Joaquin County’s cooling centers on days when temperatures are forecasted to be 100 degrees or hotter and as long as they remain open. Complimentary trips are available on Express, Local, Hoppers, and Van Go! services for those who need a ride to a cooling center. Passengers should inform the bus operator that they are traveling to a cooling center upon boarding in order to ride at no cost. Van Go! is only available on a space-available basis, customers will need to call (209) 943-1111, option 3, option 1 to book a same-day reservation.
